SOUTH FRUITS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD,, a private Malaysian Company incorporated in 1983 is engaged in the exporting of all kinds of fresh tropical and minimally processed fruits from Malaysia. We are the pioneer exporter of starfruits to EU market (Netherlands, France and Germany) and starfruits, papayas and bananas to Hong Kong. The Company also recently pioneered the export of tray pack jackfruits innovated by MARDI to Dubai in 2006 and was awarded the Innovation award in 2007 by the Government for commercializing the said export. Since then the Company has expanded their export markets to Canada, Dubai, Turkey, Iran, China and Egypt.The main fruits exported throughout the year include starfruits, papayas, jackfruits, watermelons and pineapples. Other seasonal fruits exported included mangosteen, rambutans, guava, dragon fruits, mangoes and lime. The growing and packing activities of the Company are carried out by their associated Company, SENG CHEW HUP KEE (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD who has more than 100 contract farms engaged in the growing of papaya, starfruit, pineapple, watermelon, and jackfruit. which covers more than 1000 acres in the State of Selangor, Perak, Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang. In addition the Company also has a supply base of individual farms/growers who can pack and supply all other type of tropical fruits namely, lime, durians, dragon fruits, guava, rambutan, mangosteen and mango.   Fruits are sorted, graded and packed in its own factory located in Kajang which is within 1 – 3 hours’ drive from the contract farms. It also has 5000 sq. ft. cold room facilities built adjoining its packhouse for pre-cooling and coldstoring of produce between packing and export. The Company has adopted Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Food Safety measures across its contract farms and packing facility. Our starfruit and pineapples farms are certified by our Department of Agriculture under the Malaysian Farm Accreditation Scheme. The Starfruits farms are also GlobalGAP certified to meet the requirements of the EU starfruit importers.
